Echoes of the past: bagpipes still played in Hong Kong 25 years after handover ended British rule

The unmistakable shrill of bagpipes has been part of the Hong Kong soundscape since former British rulers introduced the Scottish woodwind instrument to the city in the late 1800s. Now, 25 years after Britain returned the former colony to China, bagpipes still feature at memorials and celebrations in the city.
