Hong Kong’s Sunbeam Theatre staged its final show on March 3, 2025. The venue closed for good after more than 50 years in operation. The Island Evangelical Community Church bought the premises with plans to turn it into a community centre that will preserve the historical features of a theatre long famous for staging Cantonese opera productions.
