US military fighter jets shot down an octagonal object over Lake Huron near the border of Canada on February 12, 2023, according to the Pentagon. It was the fourth flying object to be shot down over North America in a little more than a week. China’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin said on February 13 that he had “no understanding” of the latest incidents.
