Festival welcomes spring tea harvest in southwestern China

China’s southwestern province of Sichuan is celebrating the spring tea harvest with a festival, state media reported. The annual event began on March 18, 2021, with a tea-picking contest and an exhibition. The spring tea harvest is also under way in neighbouring Yunnan province. Farmers in the region said the crops have brought in more income this year than in 2020.
