Starbucks Korea has opened a new branch at a watchtower near South Korea’s border with North Korea, offering customers a view of the hermit kingdom. The American chain’s outlet on the second floor of the Jogang Observatory is just 1.4km (1,531 yards) from the frontier dividing North and South Korea. The last remnant of the Cold War, the Korean Demilitarised Zone offers a rare first-person view into a country inaccessible to a majority of the world.
