Dalai Lama apologises after asking young boy to ‘suck his tongue’

The Dalai Lama apologised on April 10, 2023, for his actions captured in a video widely shared online showing the Tibetan spiritual leader kissing a boy and then asking the youngster to “suck his tongue”. Many viewers online called his actions “disgusting” and “absolutely sick”. A member of Tibet’s parliament-in-exile described the incident as part of a “joke” and like playing with a child.
