A village in central Thailand has been trying to fend off a sudden infestation by hundreds of thousands of caterpillars that have left some locals with skin rashes.
People in the Bang Phli district of Samut Prakan, home to Thailand’s main airport, believe the insects could have crawled in from a nearby wooded area.
Officials are looking into ways to deal with the bugs, which villagers say first appeared around December 3, 2018.
