A devastating fire tore through a bus carrying 44 pupils and teachers on a school trip in Thailand on October 1, 2024. Thai Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra confirmed that there were fatalities, with up to 25 feared dead. Authorities said the bus was travelling from central Uthai Thani province to Bangkok when the fire started at around noon in Pathum Thani province, a northern suburb of the capital.
