Pacific leaders gather for group photo on final day of strategy forum

Fifteen leaders from the Pacific Islands posed for a group photo on July 14, 2022, on the final day of the Pacific Islands Forum ahead of the release of its 2050 strategy. The leaders met in Fiji, where they discussed seeking more international support and funding to fight the impacts of climate change, as well as China’s ambitions for greater security ties across the region. The summit will conclude with the announcement of the 2050 Strategy for the Blue Pacific Continent.
