US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo met his Chinese counterpart Foreign Minister Wang Yi in Beijing on Monday, October 10. The parties at the table displayed an unusually stern tone. Pompeo said that US-China relations are stuck in “fundamental disagreement” over a range of issues from trade to China’s domestic and foreign policies.
