A dog on a leash escaped being strangled to death on June 26, 2023, after its owner entered a lift without the pet, who was left stranded outside. A video shows that as the lift started to move, the dog was dragged up and struggled for about 10 seconds before breaking free from the leash. The mishap also trapped the dog’s owner inside, who was later freed by firefighters. The dog was unhurt and was returned to its owner.
