A spate of attacks on beachgoers in Japan’s Fukui prefecture has been blamed on a single dolphin that marine biologists believe has been acting out due to loneliness. A growing number of dolphin attacks has been reported during the summer of 2024, with at least 18 people injured by the lone dolphin. Authorities have warned tourists against trying to pet the marine mammals.
