Hongkongers’ celebrate Dragon Boat Festival across the city in largest turnout since pandemic

Tens of thousands of revellers gathered across Hong Kong on June 22, 2023, to celebrate the Dragon Boat Festival. Held on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month, this year’s event was the largest since the Covid-19 pandemic, with several major competitions held in various parts of the city, including at the Shing Mun River in Sha Tin.
