High school students received their results for the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) on Wednesday, July 11. A record low of 59,000 HKDSE candidates are battling for 15,000 University Grants Committee (UGC) funded places. Worried students flocked to the Vocational Training Council (VTC) to apply for courses as they fear not getting a UGC-funded degree offer.
