An android robot took the conductor's podium in Seoul on June 30, 2023, to lead a performance by South Korea's national orchestra. The EveR 6 robot designed by the Korea Institute of Industrial Technology guided three of five pieces on the programme, including one jointly conducted with the orchestra’s principal conductor. The event was the first time AI technology was used to conduct an orchestra in South Korea.
