ChatGPT being tried out by Yokosuka city government workers after OpenAI founder visits Japan

The city of Yokosuka in Japan’s Kanagawa prefecture is perhaps best known for hosting a US naval base. But on April 20, 2023, it also became the nation’s first city to start using ChatGPT in municipal offices. Kanagawa’s move followed OpenAI CEO Sam Altman’s visit with Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and an announcement that the  company aims to open an office in Japan soon.
