Apple opens its first retail store in India

Apple opened its first bricks-and-mortar store in India on April 18, 2023, in Mumbai. The move follows the launch of its online store in the country in 2020 and after a delay in the opening of the physical store in 2021. Apple has a 3 per cent share of India's smartphone market, while the country has become a manufacturing hub for much of Apple’s products.
