US joins high-altitude military exercise with India near its Himalayan border with China

Indian and US troops have been training together near the Himalayas since November 19, 2022, as part of an annual joint military exercise. This year’s drills are taking place only about 100km (62 miles) from the disputed China-India border known as the Line of Actual Control.
