Banana farmers suffer devastating loss amid record flooding in Pakistan

Like 40 per cent of the labour force in Pakistan, Mohammad Yunas relies on farming to survive. A banana plantation in the city of Thatta was all he had, until his livelihood was swept away by record floods that have devastated huge areas of the nation. The flooding caused by heavy monsoon rains has forced many farmers and their families into makeshift tents where they are struggling to survive.
