What Mahathir's election victory means for Malaysia

Mahathir Mohamad has led an opposition coalition to unseat incumbent prime minister Najib Razak and end the Barisan Nasional (BN) party’s six-decade rule. Mahathir was himself a former prime minister with the BN but will return to power under the banner of opposition coalition Pakatan Harapan. He’s promising to clean things up and make life better for Malaysian citizens.
