I Say: If I could go back in time, I'd tell my younger self ...
Each week we’ll choose readers’ responses to share. This week we want to know
The winning ticket
I would tell myself the winning Mark Six numbers. That way, I would be able to buy whatever I want. I want to travel around the world and go to all the countries that I can’t right now. I would learn more about the world and be able to help people better.

Stop and think
I would tell myself to think more before I make decisions. I am impulsive and I don’t always think before I do things. By the time I do, it’s too late. I would try to stop this from happening by going back to a younger me and giving them this advice.

Enjoy life
I would tell my past self to enjoy her holiday. I love to swim. Even when I have homework, I always make time for swimming. When I am on holiday, all I do is swim, eat, sleep, and homework sometimes. Other people get to go abroad when they are off from school, but I don’t. Still, if I could, I would tell the younger me to enjoy my time off and swim more.

Stay on top of things
I would tell myself, “Work hard in music class, and make sure your body is healthy.” Right now, I’m preparing for a gala, in which I’m one of the choir members. I wish I had practised harder at the violin, though. I really regret not doing that in the past, because I was told there was no room for me to play the violin at the gala. I should also have watched what I ate before I went into secondary school, too.

Watch your mouth
I am very outgoing. I always talk to other people, even if they don’t want me to. As a result, some people don’t like me or are annoyed by me. If I could advise my past self on one thing, I would tell her to think about how others might feel about my talking to them, before I do it.

Take it easy
“Let it go and relax.” I used to be super stressed out and negative because I wanted good grades. My goals made me work hard, but my stress meant I wouldn’t really sleep at night which would affect my performance during exams. I believe if I was able to relax, maybe if I listened to music, I would have been able to chill out a bit and would have performed better in exams.

Give it your all
If I could go back in time, I would tell the younger me to be more hard-working. I want to go to the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Lots of other people want to go to this university, too, so I need to be better than them. Even if I wasn’t able to get in, if I try my best then I won’t feel like I have failed.
