This week’s question: If you could plan a concert in Hong Kong, who would you invite and which local performer would open for them? To take part, drop us a line via this form or email us at [email protected] by 11.59pm on June 8. Tell us your name, age and school.

Last week, we asked our readers, “What would you do if you could stop time for one hour?” Here’s what they had to say.

If you could switch bodies for a day, who would it be with, and why?

Fung Hau-yan, 13, Ho Yu College and Primary School (Sponsored by Sik Sik Yuen): I would fully explore my school because I cannot check out many places and things without a teacher’s permission. I have always been curious about locked cabinets in the science room, the botanical garden, the staff room, and the principal’s office. I want to see if there are mysterious things hidden inside!

Anthony Yu Man-ching, 13, Yuen Long Public Secondary School: I’ll try to walk on water. If time stops, that means everything – including liquids – will stop moving, right? So I’ll run from Tsim Sha Shui to Central, using the sea as a concrete floor. I’ll record myself running on water. After everything returns to normal in one hour, I’ll share the video with my friends and boast about my “magic powers”!

Jada Yeung Ching-nam, 14, STFA Leung Kau Kui College: I would probably stop the time at midnight, then go out and have a good time. Many parents say, “Don’t go out at night!” or “Be back before 6pm!” Don’t you think it’s annoying? So during those 60 minutes, I would run around the streets, screaming at the top of my voice. Wouldn’t it be thrilling?

Marcus Wong Ching-him, 14, CNEC Christian College: I would help others in danger. For example, if a child is playing on a road and is about to be hit by a car, I would stop the time and save that kid. Besides, if I were a doctor, I would be able to treat more patients.

Mirko Kwok Ching, 13, King Ling College: I would like to record some music. I have been working on a project for more than two months, but there is too much noise in my home. Often, my dog is barking, my brother is screaming or my father is scolding someone. So if I could stop time for one hour, I believe I could get the project done.

Lam Sze-hang, 16, Lai King Catholic Secondary School: I would sleep. Since the early summer holiday, I haven’t slept properly because I’ve had so much homework and revision. A lack of sleep has affected my concentration in school. So it would be good to stop time for one hour and have a nap during that time.

Davis Chan Ka-wing, 13, CCC Heep Woh College: I would play a prank on my classmates. I would take pictures of me posing like a supermodel and jumping down from my desk. Then I would post those photos on my Instagram account. It would be hilarious!

Marcus Choi Pak-hin, 14, Maryknoll Fathers’ School: I would use the time to do some exercise. Hong Kong is a stressful city, and people have no time to relax. So I would use that extra hour to have a good workout and make myself strong and healthy.

What is one dream that you woke up from wishing it was real?

Jeff Lee Ho-wai, 14, CNEC Christian College: I would make use of this “superpower” to finish my maths exam on time and get a top grade. I always do badly in the subject because I don’t have enough time to complete the paper, which is very frustrating. If I could stop time for one hour during the exam, I would be able to finish the paper and check my answers without rushing. Then I am sure I would be able to get a high mark.

Daniel Man Chung-shan, 15, STFA Leung Kau Kui College: I would like to sneak into the laboratory at the University of Hong Kong and read research about the Covid-19 vaccines. Though experts have claimed that the jabs are safe, various side effects are still being reported. I want to read classified information about the vaccines, as well as data about the newest jab targeting the Omicron variant.
