Obituary: renowned Japanese designer Kenzo Takada dies from Covid-19 at age of 81

Japanese fashion designer Kenzo Takada died from Covid-19 disease in Paris on October 4, 2020, at the age of 81. Known for his signature floral prints, Takada was the first Japanese designer to gain prominence in the highly competitive Paris fashion scene in the 1970s. He retired in 1999, six years after selling his fashion brand Kenzo to luxury conglomerate LVMH.
