Chinese Taipei badminton pair Lee Yang and Wang Chi-lin became the first men’s double duo to defend an Olympic gold medal, after beating China’s world No 1 team, Wang Chang and Liang Weikeng, at the Paris Games on August 4, 2024. Lee and Yang thanked supporters after two years of poor results since their golden moment in Tokyo in 2021.
