Dozens of Star Wars fans gathered in Taipei to celebrate the return of “Star Wars Day” on May 4, 2023, after several years of cancellations because of the pandemic. The calendar date has become synonymous with the Hollywood franchise because it sounds similar to a popular line from the films and television programmes, “May the Force be with you”. For many fans, “May the Fourth” has become an unofficial holiday to celebrate the series and its characters including the Jedi Knights and Darth Vader.
