Hongkongers remember Queen Elizabeth

Hongkongers paid tribute to Britain's Queen Elizabeth on September 9, 2022, after news broke of the monarch's death overnight, local time. Britain controlled Hong Kong from 1841 to 1997. A hospital, a stadium and several other facilities in the city were named after Queen Elizabeth and have remained so, despite the territory returning to Chinese rule.
