Hong Kong’s new shoebox flats in Diamond Hill

More than 700 shoebox flats offered up in Hong Kong’s latest batch of subsidised housing units have been sitting unsold for over a month, while all the bigger flats in the scheme have already been snapped up. As it struggles to sell the so-called nano flats – some unofficially defined as homes smaller than 200 or 300 sq ft – the Hong Kong Housing Authority has produced a series of videos featuring virtual models of how the tiny spaces can be furnished.
