Tiananmen vigil organisers close Hong Kong’s June 4 museum after government launches licensing probe

Organisers of Hong Kong’s annual Tiananmen vigil have shut down their June 4 museum commemorating the 1989 crackdown, a day after the government launched an investigation into a licensing complaint. Earlier, police banned the annual candlelight vigil at Victoria Park for the second year in a row, citing social-distancing rules related to the Covid-19 pandemic.
