Indian village offers Covid-19 patients alternative medicine treatment under tree

India's devastating second wave of coronavirus infections has not just brought urban hospitals to the breaking point. In the village of Mewla Gopalgarh, in northern India’s Uttar Pradesh, Covid-19 patients unable to find beds at a nearby government hospital have had to seek help from a makeshift clinic under a tree, where practitioners of alternative medicine put them on glucose drips hanging from branches.
