Singapore first in Asia to approve Pfizer-BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine

Singapore became the first Asian country to approve Pfizer-BioNTech's coronavirus vaccine and said it expects to start receiving shots by the end of the year. Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong said in a national broadcast on December 14, 2020, that the vaccines would be free, voluntary and given first to health care workers and the elderly.
