World’s first ‘smart’ fishing ship Guoxin-1 unveiled in China

Chinese state-owned company Qingdao Conson unveiled the world’s first full-scale fish-farming ship on May 20, 2022. The Guoxin-1 can reportedly produce more than 3,000 tonnes of fish annually. The ship will farm in the Yellow Sea, East China Sea and South China Sea, with the first batch of yellow croaker expected to be on the market by the fall of 2022.
