The EDB released “Three useful tools for 710” to make life easier for Form Six students receiving DSE exam results on July 10
Hong Kong’s Education Bureau (EDB) announced the launch of “Three useful tools for 710” on Thursday, to help Secondary Six graduates prepare for the release of their HKDSE exam results on July 10.
The three tools are e-Navigator; 710 Further Studies and Career Map; and 2019 Campass@710, which can all be found on the EDB website.
The idea of e-Navigator is to let students search for information on different programmes at different institutions. They can search “Area of Study”, “Institution” and “Category”, and will be led to a list with specific details on available programmes, such as duration of the programme, and what students receive upon completion.
The 710 Further Studies and Career Map provides a list of important dates that students should be aware of, such as the deadline for Diploma Yi Jin programme online application, and the date for modification of programme choices in Jupas.
This tool also includes useful links providing information on further studies in Hong Kong, the mainland and overseas. There are links to Employment and Training options, like Youth Employment and Training Programme (YETP), Job Fairs and Vocational and Training Council Earn & Learn Scheme as well.
The final tool, 2019 Compass@710, provides users with information on further studies, job options and supporting services. It provides a list of hotlines for students who want might want to contact consultation and counselling services on July 10, including Hong Kong Children & Youth Services DSE Hotline, and Hok Yau Club Hotline.
A spokesman for the EDB said, “We hope that all graduates will make good use of the ‘Three useful tools for 710’... to choose the right directions according to their interests, needs and aptitudes.”
