From AI assistants teleportation doors to edible walls and infinite food, Hong Kong students imagine their ultimate enchanted dwellings

This week’s question: “If you could make your own blind box toy, what would it be?” To take part, drop us a line via this form by 12pm on Wednesday, April 2.
Elly Wong Ka-po, 16, SKH Tsang Shiu Tim Secondary School: The house could feature advanced technology, such as AI, allowing me to discuss tasks with AI robots. Additionally, it could include an “Anywhere Door” that would enable me to travel anywhere in just a few minutes. I think that would be very convenient.
Mavis Tang Wing-yin, 17, Buddhist Tai Hung College: In my magical house, cleaning sprites would be a unique feature. These tiny beings would instantly tidy up and rearrange rooms as needed, allowing me to focus on enjoying life instead of wasting time cleaning. Watching a group of adorable sprites tidying up my home would be so soothing.
Rebecca Jane Seto, 10, Kowloon Rhenish School: I would design a magical house equipped with a machine that allows you to press a button to have anything you need appear right before you. There would also be a magical trash can that makes trash disappear as soon as you throw it inside. The house would also provide unlimited food, so I would never have to worry about starving.
Top 10: What is one thing you would pack for a trip to Mars?
Ng Yuk-kwan, 15, GCCITKD Lau Pak Lok Secondary School: I wish my house had four legs so it could move around easily. Since the weather is hot right now, this would allow me to travel anywhere without leaving my home. I could enjoy the comfort of air conditioning while exploring new places, making my living experience much more enjoyable.
Cheryl Wong, 14, King Ling College: My magical house would have a floating garden with colourful flowers that never wilt. The walls would change colour based on my emotions, making me happy. There would be a room filled with soft clouds where I could relax. The windows would display different views, such as beaches or mountains.
Law Sui-wai, 10, Kowloon Tong School (Primary Section): In my magical house, there would be invisible slides that could take me anywhere I wanted at any time. There would also be a fridge that can generate infinite food and drinks whenever I wanted. It would be amazing to have this house.
Kylie Chan Hei-shuen, 11, Holy Angels Canossian School: If I could have my own magical house, I would like a magical television that can conjure up anything shown on it. It would be really convenient for me when I want something.
Anna Sit, 13, Maryknoll Fathers’ School: If I could design a magical house, I would include a magical food and water producer. This is very important since food and water are the sources of life. The machine would provide as much food and water as you want, ensuring that you won’t suffer from hunger during a famine.
Raphael Chow Nap-hei, 13, Methodist College: I imagine a desert house designed for someone with a sweet tooth like me. The walls would be made of creamy cheesecake, and the ceiling would be adorned with luscious ice cream. The entrance would feature a charming door crafted from chocolate biscuits, allowing me to savour a piece of the wall whenever I desire.
Li Wa-san, 16, PLK Mrs Ma Kam Ming Cheung Fook Sien College: In my magical house, a bag of money appears when I wake up every day. Second, I can go anywhere simply by opening a door in my bedroom, which makes getting to school easy. Finally, delicious food is ready on the table as soon as I press a button on the wall
