Fans of One Direction star Liam Payne have gathered around the world to mourn the singer who died on October 16, 2024. The boyband’s supporters, known as “Directioners”, left tributes in London, Sydney, Paris, Madrid, Jakarta and the Philippines over the weekend. Earlier, vigils took place outside the Buenos Aires hotel where Payne fell from a third-floor balcony. The four surviving members of One Direction issued a joint statement saying they were “completely devastated” by the death of their former bandmate in Argentina.
