Green Monday in Hong Kong is a social initiative pioneered by David Yeung, who strongly advocates “a future that is plant-based”. It addresses all the most pressing problems that affect the environment adversely, and strives to make every tiny effort to combat global warming. Its eponymous Green Monday mission is to encourage people to go plant-based on Mondays, a small step to a bigger goal of cutting down high environmental impact imposed by consumption of meat. Green Common comes under this commitment as a concept store that makes a green lifestyle – from food to all sundries – readily available.
