Since returning from the USA with a bachelor’s degree in music from Indiana University, pianist and former child prodigy Wong Ka-jeng has founded Music Lab to experiment with classical music programming and to give the genre a fresher image.
Wong will be part of a group of six musicians from Music Lab, including saxophone player Timothy Sun and harmonica world champion Leo Ho Cheuk-yi, who will join 120 local musicians to play in London this month in an event called the Hong Kong Music Series. It is jointly organised by the Hong Kong Arts Development Council (ADC) and the Hong Kong Economic Trade Office.
