Covid-19 battered the live-performance industry around the world, especially in the first 18 months of the pandemic. The hardship has lasted longest and hit hardest in Hong Kong, with a ban on live performances in any place that serves food or drink for over 650 days, as of September 20, 2022. While live gigs, festivals and international tours have returned with a vengeance globally, Hong Kong's musicians have had no such luck.
