American woman leaves China's Covid-19 lockdown after 65 days in limbo

American Laura Hudson has been trying to return home from the small Chinese city of Changchun, but because of a citywide Covid-19 lockdown, it’s taken her 65 days. The city announced a strict lockdown on March 11, 2022, after a jump in Covid-19 cases. There was little clarity for its residents about exactly when it would end. After multiple plane ticket cancellations, Hudson finally flew out of Changchun on May 11, 2022.
