Activist Andy Chan talks about his party’s possible ban

In an exclusive interview with the South China Morning Post, Andy Chan Ho-tin, convenor of the Hong Kong National Party discusses the ban his party is facing over its independence agenda. The party, launched in 2016, supports controversial ideas ranging from self-determination to independence for the city. Hong Kong’s Secretary for Security John Lee Ka-chiu is considering a police proposal to outlaw the party under the Societies Ordinance.
