South Korea latest country to approve Pfizer Covid-19 pill

South Korea is the latest country to approve Pfizer’s Paxlovid Covid-19 antiviral pill for use by adults and children aged 12 or older. Early data provided by the American pharmaceutical company suggests the pill is effective against the Omicron coronavirus variant. The approval comes as South Korea battles its worst Covid-19 outbreak yet, which has forced the country to reintroduce tough social-distancing measures.
