A mission by the World Health Organization probing the origins of Covid-19 in Wuhan, China, ended on February 9, 2021. Members of the investigation team, made up of 17 Chinese and 17 international experts, said in a press briefing at the end of the four-week visit that the coronavirus is more likely to have jumped to humans from an animal and that bats remain a likely source. They added that the possibility that the coronavirus leaked from a lab in Wuhan is “extremely unlikely”.
