French bakers have reclaimed the record for making one of the nation’s best-known culinary emblems. The world’s longest baguette measured 140.53 metres (461ft) or about 235 times longer than a more traditional loaf of French bread. It was made by a group of French bakers and pastry chefs who wrested the title from Italy, which had held the record for five years.
