Chinese cinemas reopen after weeks of closure with easing of Covid curbs

Cinemas in several big mainland Chinese cities have reopened after weeks of closure as the country has begun easing Covid restrictions across the country. Film-goers in the central and southern regions returned to theatres but occupancy has been capped at 50 per cent in some provinces.
