Ningxi Xu, a Chinese-American who was born and bred in Wuhan, was one of the hundreds of American citizens who were evacuated out of Wuhan by the US government. She was visiting home from New York as the coronavirus outbreak started in late December 2019. She talks to the South China Morning Post about what it is like to escape Wuhan, the city in lockdown now.
