A Kru Kai Kaew statue five metres (16ft) tall was installed outside the four-star Bazaar Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand on August 9, 2023. The gargoyle-like statue has stirred controversy and triggered calls for its removal. Bangkok authorities have ordered an investigation into what part was responsible for installing the statue, which the hotel denies and instead blames on another group that rented the land.
