Taiwan’s ‘King of Christmas Trees’ grapples with demand drop amid coronavirus pandemic

Harlan Tsai’s Christmas tree factory has been quiet this holiday season. Dubbed Taiwan’s ‘King of Christmas Trees’ by local media, Tsai is the island’s biggest manufacturer of Christmas decorations. The coronavirus pandemic has slashed over 50 per cent of overseas orders from his company and forced him to cut back staff.
