Scientist

A scientist, because ever since I was little I’ve liked like doing experiments. But since getting into secondary school, science has been a lot harder. Plus, I have still got so much to learn. This is not an excuse; I will work harder to achieve my goal.

Happy happy joy joy

Happy. This may not sound very original, but I love a quote by John Lennon that says happiness is the key to life. I have no idea what my career will be, but I hope I find happiness through it.

I say: I love my best friend because...

#wanderlust

I want to travel around the world. I want to learn about cultures and music in different countries. It will be very exciting, because I am terrible at making friends. I can meet so many different people from around the world while I am travelling.

Do no harm

A doctor, because it is a meaningful job. I want to join the international charity Doctors Without Borders, and help people in war zones or poor countries who cannot afford treatment.

Calling Dr Law

A doctor, because I would get to learn about the human body and help save people’s lives. I have read stories in newspapers about doctors changing people’s lives, and I think that’s amazing. I believe I can help needy people in the future.

Vynci Law, 11, Island School

True colours

Me, the happy and true self! Unlike many people who aspire to have a particular career, I’ve got so many interests that I haven’t really decided what I want to do in the future. However, whatever I do, I hope to stay happy and true to myself at all times.

Truth-teller

A reporter. Not just any reporter, but a reporter who dares to speak the truth. Someone who will tell the public what they need to know, what the government is hiding from us, and help people express their opinions. Someone who can also bring news that can cheer everybody up. In fact, these are some of the reasons I joined Young Post’s Junior Reporters’ Club. I wanted to practise my reporting skills and I wanted to know what being a reporter was really like. And I loved it. I will try my best to be a reporter when I grow up.

Natasha Ho Jo-wei, 13, Carmel Pak U Secondary School

Author

A writer. Writing makes me happy because I can share my ideas with my readers. Also, I can write about anything and there are no limits to my imagination.
