It was Mother's Day on Sunday, so we asked our readers what they liked best about their mums. Here are our favourite answers …
1. What's not to love?
I love everything about my mum. She supports me, she teaches me, and she has raised me. Most importantly, she gave birth to me. Without her, my life would be nothing, literally. Thanks, Mum.
Coleman Tsang, 16, Law Ting Pong Secondary School
2. Love you even when you nag
A saying I really agree with goes: "It is never easy being a mother. If it were easy, fathers would do it." I love everything about my mum. Full stop. Even when she yells at me for always being on YouTube, or just telling me to wash the dishes, or even complaining about my marks in school. It's because I know everything she does is for me, and that makes me eternally grateful. And that what makes me love her.

3. Heart of gold
Aside from the great milkshakes she makes, the (mostly) funny puns she brings up at the dinner table, and the beautiful snacks she gives me for school, my mum has the biggest heart in the whole world. So big, it makes me feel like I'm a bit too selfish sometimes. My mum never has hard feelings for anyone. She will always embrace everyone, no matter what, whole-heartedly. I really don't say this enough: Mum, I love you very much.

4. Durian duo
I love her taste in food. Most of my friends and people I know hate durians. However, I totally love durians because my mum loves them, too. She's been buying them from the markets ever since I was small, so I've never found durians smelly, as many other people do. I'm glad she introduced this amazing fruit to me.
Regina Cheng, 16, Cheung Chuk Shan College
5. Mother-daughter banter
Without mum's daily teasing, my life would be much duller. The main reason I love her sassiness is that, after she teases me, I get the chance to reply with a witty response, and we'll keep hurling witty retorts at each other until we end up laughing our heads off at our ridiculous and unnecessary squabble. Another reason is that I inherited her cheeky nature, so I win most of the arguments I have at school.
Audrey Low, 12, Diocesan Girls' School
6. Patient as a saint
I'm a typical teenager, so I get mad at my mum, but she still tolerates me. I argue with her, but she doesn't fight back. I make mistakes, but still she loves me with every beat of her heart. It's amazing how we can be annoying and selfish, but our mothers' love for us never shrinks. There's a broad spectrum of things I absolutely adore about my mother, but the fact that she loves me, no matter what I do, is definitely at the top of the list.
Nitika Chandiramani, 14, King George V School
7. Logical approach
I am so appreciative of her patience with me. Rather than just scolding or spoiling me, she tends to expound the logic and the consequences of the things I do.
Pokfield Chan, 15, Law Ting Pong Secondary School
8. Mother and teacher
Mum, thank you for making me do chores at home, so that I've learned to be neat and hard-working. When I was busy, thank you for tidying up my desk without any complaints, and when I was small, thank you for saving money for me so that I can study overseas in the future. Above all, thank you for forgiving me for all the mistakes I have made and will make.
Cathy Cheng Hei-tung, 15, Immaculate Heart of Mary College
9. Attention to detail
Her carefulness is what I love the most. Every school day, she sets an alarm to prevent me being late for school. Without her attentive care, I'd be late for school so many times! Thanks, Mum.
Kenny Cheung, 15, Law Ting Pong Secondary School
10. Debate champion
One of my favourite things about my mum has to be her exceptional debating skills! I've always admired Mum for winning nearly every argument we have, and as much as it hurts me to listen to her, get off the internet and go to bed sometimes, I can definitely say her traits will pass on, and with her training, I shall become a successful debater one day.
