Top 10: What do you want to learn or do in 2020?
We asked our readers to name one new thing they must do in the new year. From trying to enjoy pickles to getting their ears pierced, here are our favourite answers
I want to watch more English movies and listen to more English music. I think it’s a great way to improve my English in 2020.

I’d really like to get my ears pierced. I’m quite afraid of the pain, but I think earrings look very nice on people. I think I’m ready to overcome my fear this year.

I’m thinking of studying abroad this year as I’ve never been overseas before. I hope to broaden my horizons and learn about a different culture.

I really want to take piano lessons. This is mainly because then I can learn to play Happy Birthday in time for my mother’s birthday. I want to show her how much I love her and appreciate her for all the hard work she does for our family.

I’d like to try my hand at photography. I enjoy looking at pictures other people have taken and find the idea of capturing a moment in time very interesting. I know photography requires a bunch of equipment and skills, which is why I haven’t tried it, but I really want to in the new year.

I’d hope to start exercising once a week. Ever since I started secondary school, I’ve been very busy with homework and tests. But I think I need to make some time to take care of my body. I heard exercising also helps your brain stay sharp and improves your memory.

I want to gives pickles another chance this year. I’ve always hated their taste, but they’re in a lot of delicious foods like hot dogs and hamburgers. I don’t want to miss out on those, so I will try to like pickles this year.

I really want to visit the Hong Kong Science Museum this year because I’ve never been there before. I think science is very interesting and would like to learn more about it. I’m most excited to check out the Mirror World and Optics Hall.

I’d like to play Grand Theft Auto Five because my dad told me it was the hardest game he ever played. I watched some YouTubers play it and learned some tricks that make it easier to win. I hope I can beat my dad at GTA5 one day.
