Mad about milk tea
I would have to say milk tea. The city is known for its food, but I think our milk tea is really special. The way it is made is even listed as an item of intangible cultural heritage!

Snacks galore
My favourite thing about Hong Kong is the food. There are many fantastic eateries and restaurants around the city offering a range of different cuisines. There are also many stalls that sell traditional local snacks, such as fishballs, siu mai, and egg waffles. They are all really tasty! I hope the local food scene will always thrive.

Be there in a jiff
One thing I’ve always admired about Hong Kong is the efficiency and convenience of our public transport system. It’s affordable, on time, and clean. It also helps to reduce the number of people driving cars in the city, which is better for the environment and improves the air quality. I love taking the MTR and it’s nice to see that they are constantly improving.

Safe and sound
I like that there aren’t as many natural disasters in Hong Kong as there are in other countries. We don’t tend to have earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, or tsunami. Even if we have typhoons, our city doesn’t normally get seriously damaged. The climate in Hong Kong is mild. Although it is hot and humid in summer, the weather is not as extreme as other places. Even on our hottest day, the temperature will still be under 40 degrees Celsius, and it never really gets cold enough for snow in winter.

Different perspectives
My favourite thing about living in Hong Kong is the views you can get here. Places such as Stanley, Victoria Peak, and Lantau Island all have different views that are great in their own way, whether it be of the cityscape, sea, or mountains. Hong Kong’s scenery is very beautiful.

Yum Yum
I love the tradition of yum cha, which began back in the Tang dynasty (618–907). Today, people still love going to restaurants in big groups to eat dim sum. Not only is it delicious, but it’s also a great way to spend time with your family or friends.

Handy Octopus
My favourite thing about living Hong Kong is the Octopus card. People can use it to pay the fare on public transport and buy things from shops and some restaurants, which is very convenient for everyone.

Easy access
My favourite thing about living in Hong Kong is its transport system. Transport in Hong Kong is super convenient. You can find a bus stop or MTR station on almost every corner. I can go anywhere I want!

Night lights
My favourite thing about living in Hong Kong is the views. I especially love the nightscape from Victoria Harbour. I sometimes go there at night just to look at the line of twinkling buildings across the water.

A good bargain
It has to be the shopping. There are a lot of shopping malls in Hong Kong, such as Langham Place and Festival Walk. We have many options to pick from if we want to buy something. Also, if you’re lucky, you can find many goods here cheaper than in other countries.
